I'm not sure how this works but my speedo didn't climb one day when I used the cruise button to accelerate. It was low by almost 10mph for a couple of days. I watched my speed with the ScanGauge and it was very close to my GPS while the speedo was off by 10. I disconnected the the batteries and flipped the headlights on for a couple of minutes and the speedo straightened up and hasn't messed up again. I guess the point is, the speedo and the ScanGauge didn't agree for awhile, maybe they get their signals from different sensors?

The flashing and sometimes steady ABS light along with the speedo going dead is now back only a lot more frequent now. I changed the VSS in the diff since it was throwing the P0500 code and the sensor is cheap. It's happening but much less so I'm thinking it's something in the circuit somewhere. Does anyone have a wiring diagram from sensor to ABS/PCM so I can chase the circuit down pin to pin? I know the wires are basically red and green but can't tell about striping. 10/03 prod date (04 model). Also, the DTC chart says that the P0500 code diagnostics are in the ABS section of the manual but I can't find that one in the tech folder. Might be useful to have if someone has it.
Also, if anyone has the OEM pigtail part number for the VSS sensor I'd appreciate it too. The aftermarkets are all straight and likely to break again.
