lug nut torque

Hello,

I have a 2004 exped Eddie Bauer, and I just finished the brakes on it. I am about to put the wheels back on and was wondering what the right torque is for the lug nuts- my Haynes book says 100 ft lbs for 12mm lugs and 150 ft lbs for 14mm lugs- but what do I have? I am assuming since it has the bigger V8 and the tow package that it is the higher torque, but I want to be sure that I dont damage the new rotors by overtightening the lug nuts. I dont have an impact wrench, but my torque wrench does go up to 150- sure felt like 150 when I was taking them off!

Thanks,

Matt

Boy, 150 lbs seems awfully high. I'd double check those numbers.
I torque mine to 100 lbs with aluminum wheels on my Expy with tow pkg.
Many recommend 110 lbs for steel rims.

150 lb-ft is the correct torque for the lug nuts as per the factory service manual.
