I spent almost that on my heads. That includes all new SS valves, new Iron guides, all new seats and machine all 3 sides of the heads. You want harden ex seats with the no lead. Or you will pound the ex valves thru the ex seats in time without the harden seats

If you don't need performance you can buy rebuilt heads at parts store like Advance, they come with hardened exhaust seats, I got the Moore's Cylinder Heads for about $200 each with coupon plus free shipping. Read some bad things about them on this forum but had good experience. I ordered and guy from Moore's called me on my cell phone to make sure I was ordering what I needed.
