ball joint saga
ok so I watched the videos and soon found out that my 08 F250 with autilock hubs disassembles differently than the videos.
questions:
1) Can I remove the axle without removing the steering knuckle?
All of the videos show that once the hub is off the axle slides right out. Not mine!
2) Missing gear tabs on the auto lock hub is a bad thing?

You will have to pound out the knuckle seal with a punch to get the axle shaft out.
Are you talking about the tabs that limit the travel of the splined portion of the lockout?
