Do I need to replace shocks?

I have a 2007 Expedition XL with 123,000 miles. Original shocks. Recently put on new set of Firestone Destination LE2 tires. Much quieter and smoother riding on relatively smooth road. When I hit sharp breaks in pavement the whole truck jumps sideways. Not a pleasant feeling at 60mph. Is the problem caused by worn shocks. I remember replacing shocks on previous vehicles at about 60k miles

This is called trolley tracking. The problem is due either to excessively worn front end parts such as tire rods or ball joints, or the wheel alignment is off significantly.
