Rear end drop by removing the old and adding some parts from JDM Suspensions
This gives it a 4 inch drop to try and maintain the same rake when the CV is installed
I am doing this after a lot of research and several phone calls to my brother who is a fabricator in NC. Thank god for his talents he keeps me advised along the way, it's like ask a nurse for cars.
While the bed is off we decided to move the tank, a mustang tank fit between the rails after removing/relocating cross members and trimming the frame it fit
I am posting a lot today but this project started earlier this year, I started during the winter after a lot of thought and prayers, my goals are to:
1. Have "Old Blue" finished by the time she turns fifty
2. Update the truck as best as I can, I am limited on my ability when it comes to autos my talent is wood not so much metal.
3. Number 3 here but realistically #1 is to make my Dad proud, this truck has a ton of sentimental value, he taught me how to drive in "Old
Blue" and she was in our family during some tough times.
My Dad passed away several years ago but working on the old girl makes me feel closer to him, I'm posting today because it's Father's Day and my Brother gave me the opportunity to honor Dad by rebuilding his "Old Blue" and he taught me the values I try to live by. Thanks Dad!!!

Looking like a great build and I look forward to seeing the progress on your dad's truck. You are a great son for taking on your Dad's truck in this way!!
The crown vic front end was purchased from a local scrapyard, cleaned up and some updated parts.
Here is a good shot of what's coming out and the replacement, everywhere I read says that the difference is unbelievable. Rack and pinion, disc breaks, better handling.
What did you use to mount the trailing arms? I gotta tell ya, I'm struggling with doing this swap. I REALLY want to lower it as low as the CV front end will take it. My problem is with not being able to put Cragar S/S rims on it once the front end is installed so that I can keep it with the 70's look.
