ive been working on getting my truck up and running (85 f250, 460, D44,D60.)
i'm working on wiring the push button, but im a little worried about messing something up. where do i wire the push button too? obviously the starter, but what post? and where's the other wire go too?
Are you trying to eliminate the key completely or in addition to the key? If you are doing an addition to the key, just run wires off the solenoid to the button.
I realize you are new here, but we work best if we understand what you are doing. If we have to guess it may lead to poor suggestions on our part and costly repairs on your part.
Having said that, you need a source of power and wire that through the pushbutton switch to the little terminal on the solenoid where the press-on connector currently is. But the source of power should be switched so that people can't crank it with the key off.
