I have been noticing mine looking pretty crappy where yours blew apart for the last month or two. May need to go aftermarket sooner than I wanted to. This is what I had in mind:
The oil is completely normal this day in age. Venting crankcase gases to the atmosphere has become taboo in recent years so it must be routed to the intake and burned. On a turbo charged engine the vent must be before turbo otherwise you pressurized the crankcase under boost.
Talked to the local dealer and the service writer said not covered under warranty. He would barely look up from his computer. So for kicks I checked the price at the parts department and they want $188 for the boot and pipe. Said it only comes as a pair. I talked to a dealer about 20 miles away and he tok my vin and said he would cross reference with the broken boot part #, contact ford to verify warranty.
If it's not covered and they're asking that much for oem, I may be buying an aftermarket pipe.
The second dealer called me back and said it's covered under warranty and insurance is covering the tow. Going to cost me $100 deductible. While it's in the shop I may have them look at the leaking radiator too

Thanks for the update, Jumbo131; sounds like the dealer is gonna take great care of you. If you need any help from my neck of the woods, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealer info.
The dealership called and said the truck is ready for pick up. They said the radiator wasn't covered because I was 1500 miles out of warranty. That's a $1900 repair!

It's time to send a PM my way, Jumbo131; I'll see if I can help. Be sure to include the info I listed above: your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.
