I'm on the same boat Father D, my truck came with a Chinese aftermarket electronic dist. Cant buy pickup coils or module for the sucker,
I want to replace the whole unit with another electronic dizzy that replacement parts are available for.
Any suggestion guys without breaking the bank.

There's no need for NOS pieces here. The Motorcraft ignition module is still made new. Remanufactured distributors are all over the place from most parts stores; no need for a NOS pickup module. They're simply a common automotive-grade variable reluctance sensor.
