Its 16,000.00 to have the molds made back to factory specs the only difference would be is the screen print on the top. So for 100 ordered pieces they would be 160.00 ea. for 250 pieces they would be 64.00 ea. The more purchased the cheaper for all.
$160 doesn't deter me, however getting 100 folks on board in a timely manner may be an issue.
How about milling out of aluminum as was posted previously?

That is a really good deal. But good luck getting people to actually spend that.
I have a hard time selling diesel supports for LESS than they sold for NEW

well of course.vehicles depreciate with age and as a rule, the vehicles self worth does as well (as it's no longer anywhere close to it's condition it once was) so people (majority) will never pay new replacement prices if they're several hundred dollars.this is why items go discontinued.the demand is no longer high enough to make money.
what we need is the aftermarket to pick up the diesel support measurements and stamp them out for us for a couple hundred bucks.they'd sell like hotcakes.
as for this item.you can forget getting a group (actually) buying switch bezels for the back seat no less for a 100 bucks or more.50 bucks or more is still ludicrous for such an item.20$ max for a switch cover guys.otherwise people wont bite.they'll make their own or go without first.
as general rule, those running 20+ yr old vehicles are not doing so for preference but rather affordability.

it should.even with a great income,spending $ unwisely is never.....wise.

I dont know about most people but but my Crew (97) is purely preference. It gets driven on weekends only.
As far as cost goes you can tell me all day long that no one will pay 100 for these bezels. Every time one pops up on ebay they all sell for around 100 ea. time.
A group buy most likely will not materialize. I have seen many group buy offers come and go with little success. The market is there for the bezels the problem is the 16k price tag to get them done. I have a few ideas im floating around to get this done and available for the crew cab guys.

i didn't say that.most Americans are in debt today.debt doesn't come from making wise financial decisions.sure there are many people willing to overspend for things as in this example.sourcing a group of them at once for such a niche market however isn't going to happen.
Some of the best businesses are niche marketed products. A group buy from this forum alone will most likely not happen. Look at Bob Drake Dennis Carpenter just to name two companies that I am almost positive heard the same thing when they started out.

Agreed 200%.
Just because something is "expensive" doesnt mean it is wasteful.
As for most americans being in debt? YUP. Many people are terrible with money. Doesnt mean everyone is
After searching and searching for restoration parts for the 41 that's in my avatar picture I wish someone would have reproduced the 41 nose pieces. I paid an enormous amount of money for the one we found and still had to send it out to be finished so it could be chromed. In another 10-20 years when these trucks are as old as the bump sides and dent sides there will be people begging for these and rear door panels for the crew cabs. Just like everyone that has a 67-79 crew cab is searching for headliner pieces and rear door panels etc. So in the end price is all relative.
I found an aftermarket one on ebay, and finally broke down and bought one. Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Window-Switch-Trim-Bezel-1995-1997-Ford-F-series-Crew-cab/132878515557/ I have put it off for too long, and figured $40 was worth it. It looks great and it's hefty. Should last a long while. Thank you all for saving my hide, more than a few times!
