i know there are already a couple threads about this but my problem is different. my driver side window switch wont work because the switch on the circut board went out. i know that on some vehicles there are other ways to get your windows to go up and down. for instance on some vw's you can hold the key turned in the door and they will go up or down. does anybody know about anything like this in 2002 4x4 diesel f250. thanks
Never really thought about it, but will the plug for the back window switches fit the front harness (assuming you have a crew cab)? Maybe you could use the rear switches to put the front windows up & down. I've only been in there once, but I seem to remember them being separate harnesses. Could be wrong though...
thanks izzy thats a good idea man. im definitely going to try that and see if i can take out one of the back seat switch boards. its like impossible to find the part i need on the internet.
I would take it apart and find out for sure what happened. The breadboard itself isn't much. Maybe just a solder point came loose. Is it the entire switch cluster that doesn't work? Are you getting power to the plug?

What I was thinking was actually move the wiring plug ///under/// your switch for the time being. Take the wiring for the back set and put it in the jack on the swith assembly for the front, and vise-versa. **IF** it fits, it will be jacked up becuse the rear set will open the fronts, and the fronts (I guess passenger-side only) will open the rears. Catch my drift?? I'd want it fixed right because I'm pretty much an ARF (****-Retentive-F***), but that's me...
