HPOP Question

I have an 04 F250 6.0L diesel and I'm replacing the HPOP. When I removed the HPOP there is oil still coming out of some port on the driver's side part of the HPOP placement. Is this normal? Thanks

When you replace the hpop make sure it has a new upgraded STC fitting on the hpop!

Despite not having the leak prone STC, the crack prone discharge tube should be replaced on the early pumps.

I've never seen or heard that the pipes were crack prone. I've seen them worn through by the cover.

X2 on the hmmmmm.I was going to install the dieselsite pump today and button this thing up.Now I'm spooked.Think I'll wait and see how this debate turns out.I can tell you that the discharge pipe on mine seems very wobbly where it attaches to the branch tube.I don't see any signs of rubbing on the cover but without checking the clearance you never know. Thanks Mark.

It's not as common as the STC, we have seen maybe 3-4 cracked discharge pipes here on FTE in the last year and a half.

There was one really good thread with pics... Sucks searching for it on a smart phone though.

Josh for a 03-04 6.0 is there anything else between the hpop and oil rails along with the discharge tubes that can also go south, since he's in there?
