Hi All, Im new to the forum world. My Names Jordan and I have a New to me 06 f250 6oh. Ied like to say I am extremely impressed with the amount of information on this site. I have been scavenging over these forums for some time now and have learned a lot form you guys.
Anyways When I purchased the truck the guy had a newer super duty tailgate with the emblem mounted back up camera to throw in. Not sure the exact year of the tail gate. After some research I bought a new hinge bracket. Now im looking into the camera wiring. I need to get to a composite wire.(The yellow video plug in). I was able to find a diagram showing the color codes and descriptions for each wire. After some time playing with a 12v power supply and my tv I was able get a video but it is very poor quality and only in black and white.
This is a picture I found of the pin out of the plug. I was putting 12v to Pin 1 ground to pin 5 the Center wire of the video plug to pin 4 and grounding the braded wire surrounding the center wire. This was the only combination I was able to make work. Any body have any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?
Going to move you up to SuperDuty and the guys may have a better answer for you. Me, I am electrically challenged but did install a Hopkins Smart Hitch on my truck and it works very well so far.

Would you help me find the same info as you sent or directed him to please. I am doing the exact same conversion.
