7-pin connector wiring
Need wiring diagram for installing a 7-pin connector on my truck. The little tag on the harness has fallen apart and I can not read it. If I had the time I would order the plug in harness but I have to have it wired tonight for towing. So I am stuck using the generic wire your own connector. Please help. Thanks 1999 f250 super duty

I just did this too, but i don't remember the colors...even if i did, they might change from year to year...
I used a multimeter to test the truck side wires then i labled them.
I used these pinout diagrams to wire it to the new plug:

EDIT: just a tip, but when posting in the future include the information on your truck (year, model engine etc...) this will give you the best chance of getting an accurate helpful timely responce. When you get to 25 posts you can put the info in your signature so you don't have to type it all the time
so get to posting!
