Bought the 13-spoke rims pictured from some one calling them turbine wheels. Didn't say any thing, just bought them for $100. What is the correct name of these?

Any markings on the back. Turbines is generic. During the 70s there were hundreds of shop churning stuff out. The smaller ones never even stamped any identifying marks. Mine have nothing and even different than those.

These are the 2 that makes me an owner of 6.

I don't think there's a distinction between brands at all. The only thing that matters is does it match your lug spacing.

Oh, theres a distinction, but its been lost since these were last produced. Mine were off of a 73 chubby 4x4. Since I was going to use it on the 79 Ford front end I had to space them out with a 1/4" spacer so the dual piston calipers would clear the rims edge. Pretty sure they did have specifics due to that back on the day. By the way they cleared the chubby brakes no problem.

Well this popped up on CL last night and thought I’d share in case someone is looking. Talked to the guy this morning and he still had them at 11. I’m an 8 lugger myself.

I was talking about looks, there are quite a few different spec'd rims. I was saying you can't look at them and say "those are ford turbines" or "those go to Chevy" (well maybe some hardcore rim fans can). As it is I have 2 full sets that are different widths. Then of course you have some with different # of fins. So yes there are differences but overall turbines are turbines

I think there was only 1 or 2 styles of Ford specific turbine. The chevy rims listed are 5 x 5 so would not fit unless an adapter was use if they are really a chubby pattern.

X2 on there is a number of fin count as far a differences on 8 lug anyway like 14 versus 16.... Then on 5 on 5 1/2 Ford='s Ford 1/2 ton so if you have a 6 lug you have a chebby 1/2 ton. ='s difference.
8 on 6 1/2....Ford 1961 to 1998, 99 Ford went metric. Chebby 1969 to 2009 then metric in 2010?

And then you have to make sure the center hub hole works, I think one vehicle brand will fit on either, but one will not fit the other. Like Ford fits Ford and chebby or maybe its the other way?

I'm in southern Ohio...would those rims happen to have tires on them? Just need some rollers for now.
