figured i would post this question here since it may have some relevance to a/c systems :
when joining gaseous (in this case, propane) fuel lines, is it best to use teflon tape or pipe dope (paste) ... or is either one considered good practice ?
I've always liked the LocTite product known as PST or "pipe sealant w/Teflon".
Its about as leak proof as anything I've ever used however does have a degree of thread locking action to it. Its easily removed but does require a bit more force than tape or dope. Like all LocTite sealers it is dissolved with about 400* of heat briefly applied so not sure it would 100% beneficial for propane use.
