My '05 ex has S code front COIL springs, whereas you have S code rear LEAF springs..
I doubt Ford could have made this any more confusing, even if they wanted.

How could that be confusing? Ford just used the same letter code for 3 completely different springs, a front coil, a front leaf and a rear leaf! ( I wish my smilies would work, I could use a few here now....)

Just FYI for everyone, the smiley problem is being addressed. In the mean time, you can still access smiley's via the drop down menu.
In the advanced reply box (not the quick reply) there's a pale smiley face at the top of the menu bar, right next to the font color drop down menu box (the big capital "A"). Click the drop down arrow next to the pale smiley face and you can choose the appropriate smiley there.
I'm smiling! I got the springs today. I also snagged the F350 rear blocks! Not sure yet how much lift the S or "modded S" (like the modded B) will provide with and without the F350 blocks but at least I have options. I'll most likely need new shackles for the front V codes with a modded S and F350 blocks.
The crew cab was off the frame sitting next to it. I had to get the springs off myself in a parking lot. Good thing I brought tools and a 5 foot long breaker bar. I'll post the spring stamped on part numbers soon but here's the VIN for anyone curious about researching the rear leaf S code (thanks BTW!)
Looks to me like the mythical S is the same as a B. This S spring should have the overload, correct? If I'm right, the part number on your spring will either be this or cross into it. 3C34 5A975 AA with a service # of 3C3Z 5560 CA
