Bellhousing question
So I'm going from a 223i6 to the 292 y block in my 55 f100. The only major part I really need is a 292 bellhousing for my stock tranny. It's. A 4syn on the floor. Will any 292 bell housing work?

Yes, any bell for a Y block V8 with a 4 speed. 3 speeds use a different bolt pattern.

Not necessarily.
B8Y-7505-A (replaced TBAB-7505-A) .. 239/256/272/292 Y Block Bellhousing.
1954/64 F350 & P350/500 with T-87 H/D 3 speed / 1954/64 F100/600 & P350/500 with T-98 4 speed.
The Lincoln derived Y block bellhousing used 1954/55 (279/317) & 1956/63 (302/332) in F700/900's will not work.

Interesting. Can't imagine an F350 with a 3 speed, but the P van kinda makes sense.
Thanks for clearing that up Bill......
