Throwing codes upon cold start only.
Changed the battery two weeks ago after the one in it went flat. Since then a strange thing has been happening when I start the Ex after it's been sitting a while. I'll turn the key and when the engine (V10) lights up it almost seems like the initial rev is higher than normal. After a second or two it returns to a normal idle rpm. Right about that time the CEL light comes on and the OD light starts flashing. I then shut the truck off and restart and everything is fine. This has done this the three times, first two no codes were thrown (CEL light did not come on) , third time got both the CEL and the trans OD light and it thru three codes. Like a dumb_a$$ I cleared the codes without thinking about writing them down. I restarted the truck and all was good.
Does this make sense to anyone ? It only happens on the initial start up after the truck has sat. The truck does sit for long periods of time in between uses although nothing like this has happened until I changed the battery.
