2000 Excursion 2wd maximum wheel diameter?

I am purchasing my first Excursion this week and have a few wheel questions if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Its a 2000 with a 7.3 2wd and is stock height. I will be keeping it stock height and was wondering if a 20x9 or a 20x10 would fit with maybe a 305/50/20? What offset is correct for the 2wd model? I don't mind having to to a little trimming if needed but I don't want to have the wheels sticking out, just flush with the fender.

Thanks in advance!

My X is a 2wd and I'm running 22x10's with 305/45/22 rubber. I'm stock height and there is still lots of room. The tires don't rub at all even at full turn. I would assume 20's should fit just fine with 305/50/20's. I don't remember what my offset was since my wheel and tire vendor did the measuring for me. My wheels do stick out about 1/2 an inch beyond the fenders, but I don't mind the look at all.
