The value of such things varies around the country, and shipping cost can make a huge difference.
Include a little more information, like which transmission, what general area you're in, etc...
Also, just because it runs isn't necessarily a deciding factor for value. Do you know the compression for each cylinder? Is it a stock carb and is the exhaust manifold with it?
Can you post some pics of the setup?

I have (2) 226 flathead six's and can tell you from experience they are very expensive to rebuild due to replacement parts prices. They are more expensive than a flathead 8 to rebuild. Pistons alone cost over $300.
