Replacement flatbed for 48 f-3

I'm having a hard time finding a stock flatbed for my 1948 F-3 project. Does anyone on here know of a decent looking replacement that will work? It is going to be a working farm truck, and does not have to be perfect, but I'd like it to look good enough to not diminish from the look of the truck.

In the alternative, has anyone ever fabricated one, or know of plans for the same?

Well, let's see if this works...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...bed-frame.html

I REALLY wish that bed would fit my F4, but it's not the wrong size.

Lakelaw,,I wish the bed could be disassembled but it cant. It would have to be cut with torch, sawzaw, etc. Its all welded and rivets. Bummer. Does seem problematic to ship that far, but i dont know for sure. Maybe someone on the message board knows a practical/cost effective way to ship something that big. I dont know what it would cost to have someone fabricate it from scratch but if you do go that route, i could try to take some measurements and tons of pics if that helps. The frame is in solid condition but know there is probably a small number of folks looking for that.

I can't really afford a bed right now anyway, so I sure can't afford to ship something that big all the way across the country.

But if you've still got it in a few months, maybe we can work something out...

Can you send me some pics? Is it a script bed?

Sounds like the makings of a road trip.... Big Joe can swing by LA to pick up the f3 bed, Lakelaw can pick up the F4 bed and the two of you meet somewhere in the middle to exchange beds! Winner winner, chicken dinner!
