water pump Question

I was in an accident 3 moths ago and the truck sat. I replaced the radiator, intercooler, trans cooler and condenser. when I put antifreeze in and had the truck running it started to leak. It look like it was coming from behind the harmonic balancer. so I let the truck run for about an hr to get it to op. temp. and the leak stopped. could it be that the seals were dri and nedded to expand again or will this be the beginning of the pump going?

I would just go ahead and change it now. When that happens, it's usually the beginning of the end.

Exact same thing happened to me. A week after I installed the engine, the pump puked a little bit. Two days later, the impeller was grinding the front cover. I was not pleased, lol.
