Help with Fuel Filter Change

I am looking at doing this myself and just want to know if it is already posted because I can not find it. How do you depressurize and what do you need to change the fuel filter on an 08 with a 5.4?

Start the truck, find the fuel pump module fuse and pull it. When the truck dies its depressurized. You can get the filter removal tools at any auto parts store. Google it and youll see exactly what you need.

I just let my truck sit overnight and take the filter off in the morning. No pulling or depressurizing anything. A little dribbles out of the filter but no issues at all. I've changed mine 4 times so far doing it this way.

Tool is a little clip that slides over fuel line and is pushed in to release spring. Check any auto store for it.
