Ok, got it on AE right now, ICP voltage is 0.11, no IPR pressure, duty cycle is showing 14.8 with just key on, not cranking. No rpm showing while cranking
Swapped CPS already with an international black... IPR pressure would still come up though. Pulled a code U1262, communication bus failure. I'm gonna have to wait till morning to dig in further.
To wake the beast up -
ICP 500 PSI min
10 volts min (battery) while cranking (book says 10.5, but I've seen trucks start with less)
0.6 ms Fuel Injector Pulse Width before cranking (this says IDM/PCM are sync'd), 1ms FIPW min (6ms max) after that.
100 RPM while cranking
IPR will likely start at 14% before cranking, then climb during the crank.
I think I overlooked something... maybe I'd better check the AE class.
This one right here shoots you in the foot. You really want to make sure that all connections are good, as well as fuses. If you don't get 0.6 ms FIPW KOEO, you're done. This is a bad PCM, IDM, or a connection somewhere. The ROM code is expected when the chip is in, but not with the chip out. Does it still have this error after resetting codes?
If the sensor is toast but not shorted or open, it's possible the PCM may not realize the sensor is bad and still trust the reading rather than using inferred values. If that's the case, the PCM will never send a fuel delivery command signal to the IDM. Granted it isn't likely, but it's possible. If you can log ICP, IPR duty cycle, injector pulse width, RPM and voltage while cranking it might shed some light on it. Were there any codes present? You replaced the IPR with a known good part, right?
Drop the ground cables off the batteries for 15 minutes or so and pull codes again. If the P0605 returns, there's a high probability the PCM has bought the farm.

No change with new ICP sensor, kinda figured... dropped the grounds, will report back.
If it's pcm failure, do I need to find a PMT1 or does it matter with having the dp chip?
