1982 F150 Bull Bar

I've seen a few photos of trucks on here that has a chrome or stainless bull bar up front that uses the two front bumper bolt mounts to mount it.

Who makes this and where can i get one?

I have been searching online for the past few days and cant find anything for the 1980 - 86 F150 trucks.

Or one like the big grill grill guard I have on my truck:

The one in your second photo. I like that style but looking for all bull bar options that uses the one bumper to frame mount.

Why not do it the custom way, and have a good welder fab it?

I might have to. I had hoped I could get a set already made ready to go, would be cheaper in the long run. if I had some made I would most likely go with either polished stainless or plain steel and have it chromed. I really like the style shown in the photo and if thats all that is commercially available I would go with thoses.

I'm going to play with a brush guard design. I am a machinist and welder for the Army, so I at least have a place to weld.

Im going to revive this to ask a question I have.

Does anyone have the dimensions of one of these bars? If not what about just the dimensions of the two horizontal tubes?

I will be making patterns soon to take to a welder I know to fabricate one for mine but not sure what size the tubing was used.

I still have my old one I took off my 86:

My guess is, you're looking for measurements related to these sort of dimensions?

I can take measurements this weekend. I've been meaning to for RL250, but I forgot about it.

You want thickness of the tube, as well as width and height measurements?

Correct. I will use it as a starting point then make changes. I'm thinking about the mounting tab for them to put a floor on the bottom of it for strength as well as for mounting a pair of those two bolt tow hooks.

Just a FYI. The design you are looking at is called PUSH bar. A BULL bar is one piece of pipe that comes up, across and back down. And typically has "skid plate" mounted too. Like this
Raptor Series bull bar
