The ride is bumpy, bent coils, shot shocks all round, need tie rods and joints, driving on freeway is asking to kill myself but only vehicle I hate to work n back so slowly fixing her up.
Yikes! That sounds scary!
I just miss the height of my old tires and I'd like more clearance with them. Plus with original suspension I'm sure it's really saggy and just new leaves would help.
Sky-manufacturing has the parts to do the shackle flip asking with a few parts for a ttb drop kit, The pan hard bar for the next gen Ford trucks.
As I'm sure you can tell from now, I only do stuff the best way since this is my dd/restomod/toy. Lol
What were the tires size before the ones you have now? Have you looked at long travel kits? Been thinking about those if I drop some cash into the suspension, spend good portion offroading.
See I'm debating between that and the full paint job. I was going to do that, but then my motor issues reminded me I need a motor more then I do a lift
Niiiice, do you happen to know if it is the paint thinner (mineral spirit) that gives it a bit of a reflective shine? Mine was half *** painted by previous owner, and you think it holds good under sun?

Until you want to do a REAL paint job that will last for more than 6 months. Then you have to STRIP all that crap off.
I did my Bilco doors with rustolium 3 years ago. The shine went away in 6 months and rust started coming thru in less than 2 years. And that was fully sandblasted to bare metal and have NEVER seen any type of salt
Has anyone used the bed liner products like rhino liner on bumpers at all ? Obviously the chrome would have to be stripped off first.
I'm wondering about a tougher coating than powder coat for bumpers and side steps that take a lot of knocks.
Rhino liner works great on a bumper, even chrome. Did it to my buds Tacoma, three weeks later he reversed over a little tree, didn't touch it. I'd recommend sanding it down, hell sandblast it, and then do a few layers of rhino liner.
