E4OD or 4R100
I have used the search function until my fingers have bled, but can't find a definitive answer to my question. 1998, F150, SuperCab, 4x4, 05/98 build date. As I have learned, this was the change over year between the E4OD and the 4R100. Door sticker has "E" under trans, this decodes to a E4OD. But, searching the codes on the ID tag on the drivers side of the trans has turned up links to a 4R100.
Codes on tag are: Large 3K on the left.
Then in order on the
right first line: F8UP-MB.
Second line: PRB-V1.
Third line: 000(zeros)7598.
Only reason I am asking is I am buying the parts for a rebuild to be done by someone else. I want to make sure I order accordingly. Thanks for any help.
In Edit: I realize these are identical models with internal and electronic differences.
