Which do I have: E4OD or 4R100?

I've searched this for a while, but with no real luck:

I own a 99 F250 with 5.4L/"E" code transmission. It was built 10/98...I'm just really wondering which model transmission I have, the E4OD or the 4R100?

Somewhere on here it said Ford switched in mid-year '99...I'm just wondering which one I have then?

4R100. E4OD was used on older engines(5.0, 5.8, 7.5, 7.3, 4.9). 4r100 is used for news mod motored vehicals. 4r100 is an updated e4od

e4od & 4r100 have the same trans code because they are basicly the same trans

just make it easy, bring your vin # to a ford dealer an they will print a couple sheets telling you everything about your truck.. trans, engine, gears, tow rating, etc... an then you'll be positive. an its free.
