Limp mode need fix
Got a 08 f250 nd I keep through a p0088 code but the check engine or the wrench light doesn't come on. I just changed both fuel filters

you will have to clear the code. If you already have then there is a tsb to have the pcm reflashed.
If the code comes back after the flash then you will need a new hpfp.

There's a new refllash out the shop that I go to refllashed it about 3 months ago

so...once you have had the reflash and still have the issue then a new hpfp is in order.

But other that's confusing is it only does it when it is over 70 degrees outside if it's under that then all ok

Wonder if it is the harness issue with the HPFP, swear I remember reading about very similar symptoms IIRC it eventually was found to be the harness but the HPFP went in the meantime because of it.

It was 67 degrees in Houston to night and truck did not go in the limp mode. It was rain so I was even playing around a bit
