I run nothing but Delphi units in everything. I have four vehicles & three of them run Delphi. The fourth has not needed a pump yet but will get a Delphi when needed. I don't buy just the pump I buy the complete module. I have never had a Delphi unit let me down. I have had others quit in 10-30,000 miles.
Delphi builds OEM pumps for most manufactures.
But I'm sure there will be other opinions. But I don't like changing in tank pumps so I use Delphi. So do a few shops I know feel the same way.
I bought my last Delphi unit off Ebay cheaper that Rockauto. It was for my 99 Crown Vic. P71, I think I paid $158 with FREE SHIPPING for the complete unit.
I use Airtex. People say they're junk, but I ain't ever had one fail and I've used them in 3 different vehicles (all mine) to date. Fixin' to put a second one in my F-150, I already have one in the midship tank and will be doing the other tank sometime soon since the original pump in there now is failing and has the crossflow problem BAD.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it or not, but when I replace a pump I replace the filters too. The strainer sock (in the tank) and the HP filter (metal can) on the frame.

Me to. Only done a year or so on mine, but seems good this far, bit noisy perhaps. But it cured my crossflow so as long as it lasts i'm happy.
I talked to the guy who I bought this truck from. He is sending me the receipt.
It is a Airtex pump that he bought and installed last November.
He told me the first one was dead out of the box. The second is out now. The truck wasn't driven all winter. But was run a it when I was working on stuff. And it was running fine. Until I took it on the road.
Being we have had 2 bad Airtex pumps. I will try the Delphi and hope it lasts.
I see the Airtex pumps are rated as good on RockAuto, fwiw.
Dropping the trailer hitch, moving the exhaust over, disconnecting and moving the air shock lines, siphoning gas, unhooking the fill hose, vent and pump wires.
One pump the Carter rep said "Nothing was wrong " with it. Funny - hook it direct to battery it wouldn't work.
