Here's a new one! EOT's going down too low?

So after doing my flush, egr delete and oil cooler past winter, I've had normal 190/194 deltas, the last couple of week's after I drive for over a hour or so my eot's go down from 190ish and stay around 175. My cold soak temp's are within 2 degree's. Any idea's on what's going on?

What kind of driving are you doing? around town, highway, idling a lot? It's a regular oil cooler, not a remote? I would at that point change the sensor. It's reading at a cold soak is one thing, but it can be bad at high temps or drifting.

Interstate, oem oil cooler. Yeah I'm with you and will order a new sensor. Just never would of expected to see such a reading. Kinda like it but it has to be impossible considering all things. Thanks for replies!

Had the same thing happen to me. Disconnected the sensor and plugged it back in. Problem solved, weak connection at the connector. Ford couldn't find the problem. Guess they didn't look too hard.

The sensors are basically a variable resistance, and the computer reads a voltage drop across it and converts that to temperature. They are quite high resistance at low temps, and quite low resistance at high temps, so a little added resistance from a bad wire or connector will have very little impact at low temps, but a larger impact at high temps.

All back to normal! Did the plug unplug trick. Noticed there is bare wire showing where it enters in plug.
Thanks again!
