Coolant Filter

I have a Sinister coolant filter on my 6.0. I use Wix filters, and have been using the Wix filter with coolant additive in it. Is this o.k.? Or should I be using the plain filter. Thanks in advance for all answers, advice and opinions.

what do you mean by coolant additive? You do not want to use a charged filter. Here are some different part numbers you can use for coolant filters.

WIX- 24070
Baldwin- B5134
Napa- 407

Do not use the sca charged filters. The sca ended up caught in the oil cooler.

So, 78fordman, I believe you about using a non charged filter and will do so. But, it begs this question: If the sca will get caught in the oil cooler, wouldn't it get caught in the coolant filter?

Actually 4070 or 4069. The 4069 is one inch shorter.

The oil cooler is commonly called the "primary coolant filter". Your sinister setup is only filtering a fraction of circulating coolant, vs the oil cooler getting most of the flow.
