Does anyone have any pictures of how they mounted their vintage air system under the dash? It came with 2 brackets but I have no clue where they bolt to the truck. Was thinking about making my own bracket like on the link below. But it would be nice to use what they gave me.
Looking for more pics of the mounting/bracket location on the backside. But thank you for this pic
What type of vintage air system do you have? We have a Gen II Compac partially installed in our 51. We've had to do a fair bit of improvising and fabing to get 'er in. It's a universal system which, I'm told, means it will not exactly fit any car in the universe. Tyler
Just got mine from mid fifty. Think it is a sure fit gen 3. Kit came with 2 brackets but I can't seem to figure out where they bolt. Thinking my truck might be missing some bracing under the dash.
There are quite a few drawings of the evaporator installation in my V/A instructions...do you have a copy? If this works there should be a copy included in this post...

Tyler,
Did you complete the installation of a Vintage Air universal Gen II compac in your 51? Are you happy with the final fit up behind the dash?
