I am sure it's been talked about here before but, I am getting ready to pull the plug on an onboard air system. I am wanting to know what system others installed and why that system, Pro's, and Con's. The system I was looking at is the Viair Constant Duty OBA P/N 10007 or the Viair Heavy Duty OBA P/N 10005. If anyone has any suggestions please reply.
My main uses: Airing up tires, Reese Airborne Sidewinder and maybe an air tool every once in a great while.
I am in the midst of gathering all the components for my install. Here is a link to the thread I started about it. I went with the constant duty kit. I’m told running air tools like pneumatic impacts and wrench’s won’t work great other than emergency use, but for the air bags and tires it’ll do great. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...board-air.html
I’m waiting for the compressor mounting bracket to get here. I have the rest of the pieces to the puzzle already. Hopefully I’ll get it installed Labor Day weekend if things go well. Spare time is the hardest part of the install for me.
