hello everyone there are a couple of questions i have.
1) the small coolant hose that goes to the top of the radiator and to the degas bottle....i broke the nipple off of the radiator tonight while i was hooking up my fuel pressure gauge. right now i have a screw in my radiator plugging that hole and a bolt in the hose...is there any way to repair that nipple or do i have to replace the radiator (i hope i dont cause i deffinitely dont have the money)
2) what is the fuel pressure supposed to be..at idle mine is about 45psi and sometimes when im at <acronym title="Wide Open Throttle">wot</acronym> it goes down to 38-39psi and fluctuates between there and 42psi. is that normal?
3) what is normal <acronym title="Exhaust Gas Temperature">egt</acronym> at <acronym title="Wide Open Throttle">wot</acronym>, im running 1000-1100....i thought that was a little high but then again im used to my old 7.3 that only hit 8-900...this temp is pre-turbo off the manifold.

Your fuel pressure is too low! Anything below I believe 45psi at WOT is bad juju for the injectors. I am on phone so I can't place the link but you need to do blue spring upgrade. Also whose filters are you running and at what interval are they getting changed. Should be Motorcraft only for these, and no more than every 10k miles between changes. As far as EGT goes are you tuned? I want to say you should be okay at 1100.

i havent changed the filters since i bought the truck and that was 6k ago. the dealer changed them when i bought it, i usually change the filters on all my trucks every other oil change and i just did an oil change so i will replace them at my next one....no tuner. i have one but the last time i used it it blew coolant out my degas bottle so i took it out...gotta wait untill i have the money to get studs done...i will have to look into the blue spring upgrade
