I'm about to do power windows on my 52 F1. I decided to go for the Nu-Relics kit which bolts in place of the factory regulator. I am also going for the crank switches, hopefully no one breaks them off or maybe I just don't take passengers...
I guess I have that same ez wire dolphin brand window kit, and twice now the window has run off its track at the top and have had to take the thing out of the door, manually wind it back on and start again. Is this why some of you guys have suggested to cut some off the top of the track? Bit reluctant to cut anything off, but I guess that would solve the running off the track issue?
I guess the other way is to extend the length of the two window clamps another inch or so which would have the same effect, no?
I ended up buying a set of Autoloc crank switches from Johnny Law Motors in town. Will be fitting them up this weekend.
