Looking at pulling the old 360 out and replace it with a almost stock 390. About the only big change is the cam and valve springs (and hardware that goes with them) that will go with it. The cam I'm looking at seams to fit the bill for towing. Lots of low end TQ without breaking the bank for fuel. Has anyone used Comp Cam 33-206-3. On the fence with using the Edelbrock intake or stick with stock 4 barrel intake. Already running the PerTronics flame thrower III. Rest of the setup is simple, the old tried and true C6 and a Dana 60. The Dana 60 will be getting a gear change from 4.10 to 3.54. Tires depending on the brand they run between 30.5 to 31 inches tall.
If I were you I would get off the fence as far as the intake is concerned. Not only will you be doing your back a favor but it will help that engine breathe....
What intake would you go with? I'm open to what other have to say. I do not believe this motor will see 5 k unless I’m running into a head wind coming over the Tetons.

Either one IMHO will work just as well performance wise on this engine but the Edelbrock is about 50 lbs. lighter. As for breathing, a set of headers would do more good for the money.
I'm actually running an old old Offenhauser I bought on Ebay, I got it because it wasn't $300. Since it replaced a 2bl intake it made a huge difference and I don't need a cherry picker to pick it up, lol.
