Hi, guys. I'm restomoding my dad's 1981 F150 and one of the many changes I'm making is to install a 3G alternator and a power distribution box under the hood. A buddy of mine, Bruno2, picked up a couple at a salvage for me recently, including this one from a mid-90's pickup. While I could eventually figure out the wiring of the box, I'm hoping one of you have an EVTM or some other documentation that would include a schematic.
Bruno said "Heritage Pickup" and "mid-90's". Other than that I don't know. The lid had part # F65B-14A003-C but I can't find a # on anything else on the box. So I've Googled that # and found a hit in FTE here regarding a box with that cover in a 2002 Explorer. In that thread Cookie88 said "Assuming I'm reading the wiring diagram correctly", so I've PM'd him to see if he does have the diagram for that box.
Let's see what he comes back with, but maybe I'll need to check with some other forums. Anyway, thanks for responding.
Ok, thanks. And since this is the forum for 87-96 full-sized trucks it isn't like anyone will have the schematics. Right? Any ideas who might have them? (I'll next go to the Electrical Forum, which is where I should have started. )
I have never seen a wiring diagram for the engine compartment fuse relay boxes in the EV&TS manuals. The only complete diagram I have seen for the engine compartment fuse relay boxes is in the big fold out diagrams for each year. The EV&TS manuals only show bits and parts of the engine compartment fuse relay boxes as it applies to each module.
You are so right about the EVTS. Chris Tubutis just pointed that out to me in a PM. Not sure what I was thinking.
Thanks for the drawing. It will help, but that box is different from mine as I have 6 relays. But, it helps nonetheless as I suspect some of the wiring will be the same. I'll start checking it over. Thanks again.
