1996 EEC power relay and FP driver wire testing?
engine light never comes on
and no power at inertia safety switch.
all fuseable links and fuses are good. yellow switched power source wires all hot with key in run position hood, at the PCM as well.
and the red full time hot wires are good everywhere too including at the PCM and injectors, etc.,
there are three identical black relays at the battery along with a white diode. apparently the diode is inline with the yellow swiched power source wire to the PCM and it is fine as well -being that i have power at the pcm via this wire- in the ign. switch run position.
none of the three relays under hood are keyed and they all have the exact same part number on them. the power relay seems to be functioning fine.
isnt there supposed to be SES or CEL light in dash with ignition switch in run and/or engine cranking position?
i put power to the FP power wire terminal at the FP relay socket plug and the FP operates very well.
the PCM wont send power to the FP relay to run the FP.
the PCM wont do anything at all that it needs to be and should be doing,
so the PCM must be fried?
right?
