hey guys I have been researching items to lower front & rear of my truck I found the complete setup on ebay comprising 3 inch drop I beams by djm rear lowering kit & shocks front & rear for 850.00 bucks I don't think I can get the shocks any cheaper unless anyone on here knows where I can get them cheaper also would like to know do I have to drill new holes to fit the rear shackles or do they fit in existing holes thanks in advance for any help
You do not need to replace the front shocks, the drop is built into the beam and the shock location/travel is unaffected.
What do you mean by "rear lowering kit?" Shackle kit, flip kit?
thanks bobby for your reply I think they call it a shackle kit but its supposed to give you a 4 inch drop in the rear. I looked at the lowering thread by William William and and there is no mention of replacing the the front coils so I take it for granted they stay the same I had already replaced all the shocks with new gas shocks once again thank you
ok went back to ebay motors and the description reads 3 inch drop I beams & 4 inch drop hangers & shackles plus 4 shocks do I need to get shorter shocks for the rear thanks for any help

Yes, you will need shorter shocks for the rear.
Also, measure your pinion angle prior to any rear suspension mods.
You can get an angle finder at Lowe's or Home Depot.
once again bobby thanks for your help I forgot to mention my 69 is a longbed ranger I am hoping to get it painted before summer is gone most guys like shortbeds but I think my longbed will look cool lowered

Pick up the latest issue of custom classic trucks. There is a extremely nice lowered 67 longed in that issue. It's blue and white.
hey guys I have a question does anyone know the part number of the rear shocks when I do the hangers and shackles with the djm kit I am dropping the front as well with the drop I beams from them I don't need the front shocks so no use paying an extra couple of hundred bucks for something I don't need I am hoping I can pick them up at my local parts store I can get out of it for under 800 bucks if I get just the I beams and shackles thanks in advance
