Which of the 1st year pick up versions are more desirable/valuable?
I have a original Arizona Rust Free 3 window pickup... but, I see many
of these have the upgraded corner windows... I suspect customers asked
to add the windows for help with "blind spots" ??
Either way... I tried to find values or comparisons in options, condition for values... but, these Pickups/Vans seem to be "not classified" in the basic Used Car/NADA/Kelly Blue Book calculators.
I had a '66 Supervan but always like the pickups... so, I bought 1
Any help/advise is appreciated.
Thanks
The standard pickup came with 3 windows, but could be ordered with 5 windows. The "custom" pickup always came with 5 windows. "Custom" meant it had a deluxe interior, which probably did not mean too much on these trucks.
More 3 window pickups were made than the 5 window pickups. More pickups were made in 1961 than any other year.
It seems that most folks prefer the 5 window, but I prefer the 3-window truck.
Thanks... I typically see the 5 window Pickups... I didn't see many 3 windows truck so, I was wondering. I guess the 5 windows are rarer... Mine is a 3 window truck from Arizona... rust free almost dent free.. It should be fun to restore back... I been buying some of the missing/non-working items.
