General Lee VS Bullit
They had a 25 year reunion for the Dukes of Hazard recently in Covington ,Georgia. Thats where the show began . There were at least 75 restored General Lees there from all around the country. Most of the ones I saw had 383's in them. There were a few 440's but no hemi's. They staged one of the generals famous jumps at the fair grounds and totaled a perfectly good 69 charger doing it. It was a lot of fun seeing all the old chargers on the square at once. They even had a few of Roscoes police cars restored there.

I'm a Bullitt backer. It would have to be the Mustang from the movie however. Remember, the 390 was had to be rebuilt into a racing enging because all the chase scenes in the movie was done at real speed. The charger kept pulling away from the Mustang, so an engine rebuild was ordered to add to the excitement. So on a curvy roadcourse I'd take the Bullitt over the charger. In a straight line, just because that would be fair to the charger, it would be close, let's line them up and find out.
