Spindle Bearing Question

Hey yall im getting closer to ordering the new bearings ect for my front axle and was wondering where all these parts go.

http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...BK6_0072265103

i know on my F250 i didn't have this bearing and seal so I'm unsure of where it goes, I haven't ever been in a Dana 60, i can look behind the hub and see that the seal in the axle tube leading to the differential is bad, its not leaking yet but it is cracked and pieces of the rubber have come off around the outer edge, so i was thinking that maybe this bearing set had something to do with that, but then i saw this seal

http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...692_0342413701

and was thinking maybe that is the one that goes there, if thats the case ill add it to my parts list as well, im trying to do as much preventative maintenance on my truck this summer as possible, some may call it excessive but I'm not going to have time to do anything with the truck once college starts back up in the fall and i want NO downtime this coming winter if i can avoid it

also are there any special tools needed to do any work on the front axle? besides spindle nut sockets i have access to all of them, im talking like special slide hammer attachments or installers ect i need to have all tools and parts up front before starting this if at all possible.

That first one is the spindle bearing, and yes it was on your 250. It goes inside the back of the spindle and the part of the axle from the axle joint out rides in it. Some Dana 60s had the outer axle tube seals and some didn't. It's just a dust seal, it doesn't have anything to do with the gear oil. They say it's better to leave them off so any water and dirt that goes in can come back out. The seals the keep the gear oil in are up inside the axle tube close to the diff. If they are bad you will have oil leaking out the ends of the axle tubes. To change those you have to pull the axles and drop the carrier out of the diff and change them from the inside of the diff. Mine are pouring. I need to change those soon.

The first link you posted is for the spindle. It has nothing to do with the gear oil in the pumpkin. The second link is for the axle seal. It goes in the pumpkin to keep the oil in.
