Is there a kit anyone knows of for the brittle vacuum hoses in the engine bay? Looking for something color coded like is there now. Don't mind buying separate hoses if I have to. I've heard silicone is the way to go. What sizes does a 94 F350 with a 7.5L have?
I don't know of any kits but I know autozone sells the plastic or nylon hose in three foot packages and the rubber ends are separate. Or you can use the old style rubber or silicone. I put a new thermostat in my truck a while back and broke two of the vacuum lines, and said oh s*** how am I going to fix these. Went and found the hose in the help section. Then bought another 6 feet of rubber to have as back up and for a 73 t-bird with a 460 im working on.
If you have the time trace the lines that come from the passenger side all the way to driver side, some are in the plastic flex conduit. I found one of the ones I broke was broken all the way from one side to the other in multiple pieces
Subscribed.... I have the same problems.... Any work in the engine bay and crumble they go! I would think the plastic hose should be available in colors by the foot. The ends appear to be 90 degree rubber ends for the most part.
