Hey everyone,
Does anyone know where to go to get a complete set of hard type plastic vacuum hoses for my 1989 Ford Bronco XLT? I have looked and it doesn't seem like anyone has these. They are also color coded for different modules and pre bent for going around the engine.
Thanks
Terry
When one breaks I cut off an inch or two and take it to the parts store. Get rubber hose that the plastic fits snugly inside. Then use the rubber as a coupling in the broken plastic hose.
I've done the same thing b4hntn said in the past. I didn't even try to find the hoses cause I figured they'd cost an arm and I didn't want to replace all of 'em. I've found when you try to replace something that spans the engine compartment you end up breaking something else and it cost you more.
I used some electrical wire insulation (10 gauge) to repair a hose on mine. Just pulled the copper out and then slid part of the old hose in each end and put some electrical tape around the connections. Maybe not the best idea, but it was cheap
I've had to replace some . Used rubber lines and brass T's if needed. As for replacements there have been many posts but I don't remember a actual place to get them was told. Could always go to ford $$$ . Or find a truck sitting for parts as I find Wrecking yards are probably out as everyone I've ever been to just cut everything.. My 94's are like new yet . but my 93's are toast. So I know nice ones can be found. Most post are from warmer climate. Don't know if head north would help or not.
