I am getting a 5" exhaust, alot of guys are telling me to stay away from aluminzed pipe. Any of you guys have the aluminized kits such as diamond eye? Im wondering if they rust as bad as im thinking they do, or should i get it and they are good systems.

If you are in the land of salt and freeze thaw, don't, if you are in Cali or Arizona, no problem with aluminized pipe. I am in Canada, we would only ever use stainless, salt, sand, gravel,p even Magnesium and Calcium chloride are used on some bridges and stretches of road up here.

What if i purchase aluminized, and added a couple coats of high heat paint and then rhino lined the whole exhaust. Thats what i wanted to do was rhino line the exhaust. But I just dont know how it will hold up.

I put a stainless Gibson exhaust on my old truck and it looked like total crap after a month. Complete surface rust. I have an aluminized MBRP on this truck and over a year later and it still would look new if i wiped it off with some simple green...ill never waste the money on stainless again

My cousin's husband used to work on and sell parts for all makes of diesels. I was recently asking him about what to get, as I am wanting to upgrade as well and he said stay away from stainless for the reasons Miles stated above. He said the aluminzed would look better for longer and for a much cheaper price.
