Hi guys, coming over from the 6.4 forums. Just purchased 2014 6.7 they have sure made a few changes in the truck from 08. Just wondering about any experiences with levelling kits. Just installed a 2.5" in the front but it seems to sit a little bit higher than the back now, has anyone else noticed this and if so what did you do to get the back up a little bit without going to a major lift. I dont want it up too high as I also pack a camper and dont want the truck way up in the air.
Not sure what advice to give you specifically as you don't provide any details (such as how much you need to correct in terms of height difference, F-250 or F-350, etc), but you can easily adjust the rear block height compensate for the leveling kit. I have 3.5" rear blocks compared to the 2.5" blocks that came on the truck to adjust for the leveling kit on my truck.
sorry, guys it is a 350. so the answer would be a 4" block in the rear?
You will need to measure the difference in fender height at the front and rear. Then measure the height of your current blocks and add the difference in front to rear to it. For example:
Front fender height of 44"
Rear fender height of 43"
Difference is 1"
Rear block is 3.5"
New rear block would need to be 4.5" tall to be level or 5" for a 1/2" of forward rake.
A 2" spacer put my 2011 F350 still slightly low in the front. I'm guessing that with a 2.5" front spacer, you should be just about level if you get a 4" block for the rear.
Everybody has always referred to it as a 4" block but they only measure a little more than 3.5".
This is true. I searched around for a long time until I went and measure several F-350's on the lot and confirmed that for all intensive purposes, my F-250 has 4" F-350 standard rear blocks that actual measure 3.5". I thought they were some weird odd size, but they just are not a true 4".
