Suspension Help!!!

I have read numerous threads about leveling kits and tires and none of them are really helpful to me. I have a '03 F250 4WD, stock height. If I put a 2.5" leveling kit on the front and leave the stock blocks in the rear, would it be better to run 33" or 35" tires. I would rather have 35" but 33" would be ok too. What if I put F350 blocks in the rear and the same leveling it on it, wouldn't the front end still sit lower than the rear but then I can run 35" but how do I get the front to match the height of the rear. All help would be great guys.

Thanks,
Blake

try leaving the stock block and getting a one inch rear add a leaf to level the truck since the factory block i think is 2 1/2 inches

If I leave the stock rear block then I am just going to get a 2.5" front leveling kit. But I am concerned that if I want to fit 35" tires then I may have to put F350 rear blocks in the rear and then a 2.5" front kit and the front is still going to sit lower..

I have a 2001 F350 and just put a 2 1/2 leveling kit on it the truck sits level now maybe a little higher in the front.I have the 4" block in the rear. See my post on leveling before & after.

If you only have a 2" block in the rear of your F250 when you put a 2.5" leveling kit on the front is going to sit higher than the rear.

I think you can get the 35" tire under there but you might have to trim the front valance & or inner fender well to clear. Also you will need the 4" block in the rear if your going to add the 2.5 to the front to keep the truck level.

35's will fit with a 2 1/2 it will rub when turning if the axel is on uneven ground, but it rubs in the far back on the plastic so it dosnt hurt anything.

i have a 2007 f250 with a fabtech level lift and run 35's but as meanv10 said the 35's do rub a bit when the wheel is cranked all the way and you are going up something like a steep driveway. but i would still definately go with the 35's.

The 05-07 trucks are much different than the 99-04 trucks so keeping them in their own league is best when trying to work out tire clearences with leveling/block set-ups.

Seeing as you didn't comment on how your truck currently sits we will have to assume being a 250 that it sits relatively level.

If it is relatively level and you want to add 33's you will most likely need a front leveling kit. To keep the truck level (if it currently is) you will want to add the 4" blocks (in place of the 2" blocks) in the rear. The 4" block will effectively give you 1 3/4". If the front currently sits a little lower than the rear you will want a 2 1/2" kit. Going to 35's would be a guess but you may need at least a 4" lift front/rear if you want to avoid rubbing issues. Other options from the rear blocks are the add a leafs as mentioned

Spend some time researching the different available options for your truck. Remember lifting your truck for 35" tires can get costly if you want to do it correctly so knowledge is key.

If you want to avoid rubbing issues with 35" tires, then will you need to install a 4" lift kit.

Sorry about not getting back sooner...my truck sits lower in the front than the rear. It is around a inch or two lower. So that is why I'm concerned.

I have an 04 with a 2" leveling Kit from Icon. And 4" blocks in the rear. My truck sits level and I am running 35"s. The only rubbing issue I have with it was I had to cut off 1" of the lower valance on each side. That took a whopping 2 minutes, with a saw zaw.
With that being said, you really need 9 or 10 inch wide rims with 35, so you have the correct offset. 4.5". If not you may encounter other rubbing issues like at full lock hitting the leaf sping.
I have 16X10's and have no rubbing issues.
You do not have to have a 4" lift to run 35's at all.
