Cooling the beast
So, I know the radiator needs replaced. I have a few days to decide, but what's the best aftermarket brand for $300 or less? I'm looking for a direct replacement type.

I don't know brand, but everything I've read says an aluminum radiator cools almost twice as well as a copper/brass unit of the same size. And, it is much lighter.

Summit offers a brass three core radiator for about 250. I'll look into the aluminum radiators later, as the cheapest ones on Summit are around 450. Even the LMC radiators are around 300. Can't grasp why a stock radiator would run over 400 at autozone.

Thanks for the info. I wound up getting the Spectra 3-core from Summit.
